§ 4.06. Directors of departments.

There shall be a single executive head of each department of the city government who shall be an officer of the city and shall have direction and control of his department, subject to the supervision of the city manager. Two or more departments may be headed by the same individual, the manager may head one or more departments, and the directors of departments may also serve as chiefs of divisions.
