§ 3-3-13. Authority and duties of purchasing agent.
The purchasing agent shall be responsible for the procurement of goods, services, insurance and construction in accordance with this chapter as well as the management and disposal of supplies. In accordance with this chapter, and subject to the supervision of the city manager, the purchasing agent shall:
(a)
Purchase or supervise the purchasing of all goods, services, insurance and construction needed by the city;
(b)
Exercise direct supervision over the city's central stores and general supervision over all other inventories of goods belonging to the city;
(c)
Sell, trade or otherwise dispose of surplus goods belonging to the city; and
(d)
Establish and maintain programs for specifications development, contract administration and inspection and acceptance in cooperation with the public agencies using the goods, services and construction. (Ord. No. 2757, 1/22/83, Sec. 1)
