§ 5.12. Division of purchases.

There shall be established in the department of finance a division of purchases, the head of which shall be the city purchasing agent. The purchasing agent, pursuant to rules and regulations established by ordinance, shall contract for, purchase, store and distribute all supplies, materials and equipment required by any office, department or agency of the city government.
