§ 12-4-27. Advisory opinions.

  • To terminate a controversy or to remove uncertainty, upon the request of the director or any person, the commission, in its discretion may issue an advisory opinion declaring that, upon the facts presented, a particular practice, program or regulation does not violate this chapter. Such opinions shall be advisory only and shall not preclude the commission from making a different determination in processing a formal complaint. (Code 1963, Sec. 18A-28; Ord.
